An existing boiler heating system replacement, gas-fired hot water generator & several classroom fan convectors.

Project outline
This project included the replacement of the existing boiler heating system, the gas fired hot water generator and several classroom fan convectors. The previous heating system comprised two Hamworthy gas fired boilers each rated at 120 kW.
Project outcomes
The existing boilers were replaced by two new Ideal EVOMAX condensing boilers, each new boiler being rated at 120 kW with primary circulation pumps and low loss header. The existing feed and expansion tank was removed and replaced by a pressurisation and expansion system. The primary heating pipework within the plant room was replaced as were the potable water and gas services. New circulation pumps were installed. The heating control systems (BMS) was replaced in its entirety for new. The heating circuits were recommissioned based upon 80° C flow temperature and 60 C return.
